The Aro gTér is a Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist lineage whose unusual characteristics make it singularly appropriate for many Westerners. This tradition is principally concerned with transforming our experience of everyday being rather than achieving an esoteric or spiritualized mode of existence.
Inspired by this, Ngakma Shardröl Du-nyam Wangmo and Ngakma Yeshé Zértsal formed Aro Books in 1994, a not-for-profit organization which aims to publish the complete cycle of these teachings to make them readily available to a wide audience.
Our aim is to engender cheerful courage, perceptive consideration, sincere determination, natural gallantry, graciousness, creativity and spaciousness..
