The Wrathful Pot

The Hot Scotty

by Carl Grundberg

IngredientQuantity
garlic, peeled, raw: one clove
scotch (single malt): as needed
shot glass: one
  • This is a home remedy for a particular phase in the progression of a cold or flu: namely, when you've been dragging along being sick, but you're just about ready to break out of it and get well. Sometimes your system needs a kick in the rear in order to move on. This recipe provides what you need.
  • Fill the shot glass with scotch and hold in your left hand. Hold the raw clove of garlic in your right hand. Take a munch of the clove of garlic, followed by a sip of the scotch. Continue until both garlic and scotch are gone. This is best done ostentatiously, while socialising with a group of people. Repeat as necessary.
  • It's important to note that this is a straight-no-chaser remedy. No hot water, honey, sugar, lemon, nor anything cosy and comforting should be included. You want to get well, don't you?
