Vajrayana palatable according to political correctness. Rather we set out
to provoke an interest in the excitement and exuberance which lies at the
heart of the authentic unbroken lineages of Vajrayana Buddhism.

from Statement of Purpose

We are not a profit making organization. The 'we' of ARO BOOKS consist of a volunteer staff of two: Ngakma Shardröl, editor and graphic artist; and myself, Ngakma Yeshé, managing director, salesperson, shipping clerk, bill collector, etc. We work on aging Macintosh computers with outdated desktop publishing and billing programs. All the money collected from sales goes directly to our next publication.

The authors have received neither advances nor royalty checks. For all of us, Lamas and disciples, labor is given with love and with the purpose of seeing that these simple, vibrant, and directly applicable Vajrayana Teachings are available to all who would benefit from them.
